By doing this, we are emphasizing our decency and our civility. America is strong because of core values that distinguish us from many other nations. I feel it is essential to stay true to our core values; one of which is respect for human life. There is no doubt in my mind that bin Laden is dead. There will always be those who doubt, but I do not believe a picture or a video would make any difference to them. On the other hand, releasing the pictures could do damage and put some of our troops and citizens at greater risk.
